For my print ads, I decided to go with a trendy, younger generation look in terms of fashion ads. In the Hypebeast culture, simplicity is everything and the bigger the picture, the more words said. This is what I wanted to do in terms of my ads, and I want the people seeing the ads to know what fashion is doing and how competitive the industry is in terms of buying the next latest thing.

My Social Media Campaign

In my campaign, it is a lot more difficult to differentiate myself from my competition as my competition already has an eye-catching nature. With Hypebeast, the whole point of the brand and the culture is to be different and be unique, so in my campaign I kind of want to do the same and show a different sort of fashion ad where it relates more to the people who live uniquely and wear a unique style. A social media campaign on my end will be discovering a new way to make a fashion style trending and how valuable it could be for the Hypebeast market.

Print Ad Strategy

In my print ad, I’m going to to focus on the idea of millennials or the Generation X group who live in a world of fast fashion and trending moments. I’m going to use this culture that I am familiar with and maybe try and show the distinction between the present day and the past/future. In addition, I was thinking of maybe creating an ad that shows how the millennials are gaining more power, are finding easy and futuristic ways of making money and overall, living a life of luxury from the get-go. It would be a fun way to analyze how the system has become a gateway for fast money for young adolescents and young adults.

Creativity in an Ad

My ad will use a unique contemporary approach to the fashion industry and the trending lifestyle around “the next best thing”. I, myself, am immersed in this industry and I have a passion for fashion and the lifestyle around some of the most interesting design styles to this day. I will use my knowledge of fashion and the modern culture to create an ad that has confidence portrayed in the models, bright colours and music that corresponds with the bright, happy and carefree vibes I want to connect with. My theme for the ad will be “HYPEBEAST”.
